Raghuvir mehra is checking the plants in the backyard of the house where a bunch of plants have grown up and now giving fresh fruits and vegetables…
In the open kitchen of them near the backyard dadi aka Indhu mehra is preparing coffee for him.. The kitchen inside the house has been used when everyone of the family is there.. Now as only for the two of them she is using this kitchen..
I: Raghuvir ji coffee…

R : keep it there.. I am coming
I: u can examine your vegetables later now come and drink ur coffee or it will get cold..
Raghuvir with a small laugh said I can’t even able to escape from ur coffee for a single day..
Indhu with a pout said fine from tomorrow u can make urself nt only coffee even ur food

R : y… r u gng to free me from ur love prison.. he said that with a wink.
I : Raghu can I ask u something… the holiday season has begun 10 days ago..
R : haan.. in 20 days it is gng to over as well..
I : with a small puppy face asked y don’t you invite the children for this sankranti (Indian hindu festival)..
with a small pause she continued I feel like I hear them calling me all the time.. I always think of them.. can’t even sleep properly.. for how long I can be patient …

while speaking Raghuvir starts to wander near the plants like examining..
r: why are these bananas so thin.. call eeri their servant… I have to see the land
I : Raghu ji I am talking about our children and you are talking about the plants
R : these plants are far better than our children.. they will always be there.. they give us wtever we want..
with little anger in voice

he said look at the serpent guard.. it’s not even been 2 months I planted it.. it’s blooming already.. but the children… he paused as he also want to see them.. Bt they had nt even visited them for the past few years.. so he is really angry..

At that time a servant came there and said Sir Priya mam called.. they will be coming here by Sunday as tmrw there was a meeting for chote baba..

R : make arrangements for them..

Raghuvir turned towards his wife who was happy on listening to their arrival.. he smiled a little and said look he is nt even our own Bt he doesn’t forget us.. he is visiting us regularly from their departure..
I : they may be busy.. and they are in London.. there may be ticket issue too..
R : Ohh… how silly.. they are business tycoons there… they can come whenever they wish.. ticket is nt even an issue fr them.. it’s just they forget the value of relationship..

I : maybe you can be right.. Bt I am a mother.. I can’t be here without seeing them.. just call them fr festival..
when he try to refuse her she said I am having work.. my son as he is also like others to me is coming day after tomorrow.. so I am having a lot of work to prepare their favorite and the arrangements fr their stay.. call and invite others too for the festival.. if not u have to see my other side Mr. Raghuvir mehra…

Raghuvir was standing there for a long time.. he was happy that his wife is considering Ram as her own son.. Bt angry fr asking to invite those who had forgotten them due their own lifes..
will he invite them.. if not.. Wt will be the reaction of Indhu mehra..

Hiiii guys!!! This is DQ… and before I publish my results… I want to apologise for the delay… i don’t know if I was able to pull off the competition well.. but i was extremely busy with exams and morning-evening classes… anyways never mind.. all’s well that ends well.. i should have kept in mind that this was the year end and everyone would be busy with their final exams.. so i also wish to apologise to those who could not participate due to their exams.. but i am still glad that at least some of you made time and prepared greater stories of the themes provided…

Now, I would also take a moment to thank the person, one of my judges, who gave me the basic idea behind the themes.. judges and winners will be revealed in my next update on the 31st…

Hi guys, this is DQ back again with the results of the relay OS competition.

I am so glad that the competition was held smoothly, though it was too much longer than I expected it to be. I was waiting for this day since quite a long time!

From the beginning, when I proposed the competition, to selecting the judges, and then grouping the participants, sending each one their part of story, and then finally all their efforts into making one story, which we have seen had good response from the readers too… all the best groups were amazing, and so were my judges.

And now, finally we have come to the last update regarding the RELAY OS COMPETITION. And this definitely feels like a dream I have accomplished, all thanks to Lord almighty and my dear dear participants, who put on their efforts despite every other issues. Love you all!

Winning is not everything, participation matters. Those who did not make it to the top 3, for you all, I would say, at least you had the nerves to pull off this beautifully. And trust me it was never easy to choose a winner. But then, someone is always better than another, even by a point!

I will reveal the winners here, only their names, if anyone wants to know their total, or a feedback, you can surely ask for one! I will try to respond to you at the earliest! (at college, currently..)

Also, the winner was selected on the basis of their phase 1 and phase 2 performance. The votes given by the readers was also taken into calculations, though that did not make much difference, because the cumulative average from the judges scores, my personal scores and their previous performance was too much to make a difference.

I am glad I met nicer people here! These participants, whom I never knew now hold a better place in my memories, I am sure with time, we would get closer and know each other more.

There were participants who were really prompt in their submissions, and there were participants whom I had to knock to Inform them of the deadline.

Now, what really mattered was the story they had written, so on that basis I have finalised I winners, but then I also felt that someone who was always prompt in their submissions deserve an applause too, so that participant is a special winner.

WAIT….IT IS NOT OVER YET… one more winner is there… who is simply too nice and dedicated! It would be too wrong if she is not appreciated.. These voices were heard inside a mental asylum’s ward. A nurse came out and called someone.

“Sir, we did what you told us to do, she will never get fine.”

She grinned and left from there and just then a girl ran to that ward almost barging in with fresh tears running down her face. She was tired, tired of seeing her like this, tired of hearing her screams, tired of seeing her showing no progress at all, how couldn’t she be tired? Her sister had beared a lot and no one was there to get justice for her. She held her hand as her sister sat up from the sudden pain of the electroshocks that had made her whole body vibrating and caused her to sweat and cry too much and most importantly her life that had taken all her happiness from her. ‘Maya,’ she spoke softly and lovingly, she turned to her and her eyes pooled up with tears. ‘Didi,’ she said and threw her arms embracing her and she bursted into tears.

‘Didi came right? Now stop crying my dear, I promise I will take you from here, shh shh,’her sister Durga said rubbing her back as she cried bitterly. ‘I will take you soon, out of this pain and this life, I am with you and I won’t let anything happen to you.’ Maya pointed towards the sketch of cryingly. Durga went towards that sketch and burnt it to ashes. ‘Don’t keep that person’s sign anywhere, he won’t come here and even if he comes, I am here to save you right? I won’t go anywhere from here,’ she said while burning the sketch and gave her a small smile.

Later that day, Maya was sleeping and the door of the ward opened, someone came towards her and caressed her face and she woke up with a jerk. ‘No! No! Stay away from me you bas***d, I will kill you,’ she said panicking badly and had turned her face away from the person and took the vase kept on the bedside table and turned to him, as she saw the person’s face, she got enraged and looked at him with bloodshot eyes.

It was Kabir. She raised the vase to hit him but he held the vase and laughed evilly.

‘Arey re, so much anger, won’t you say hello to me? Hmm?’, he said holding her jaws tightly. She writhed in pain closing her eyes tightly. He pushed her on the bed and kept the vase back on its place coming on top of her. She could feel his hot breathe on her neck. ‘Maya baby, open your eyes,’ he said laughing evilly and drew his face closer to hers. Meanwhile outside the ward, Durga talked to someone on phone. ‘Till when will you come? Today night? Tomorrow? When?’, she asked over the phone unaware about Kabir near Maya, her chhoti.

‘Tomorrow, good job, OK I m going, Maya is alone,’ she disconnected the call and went inside the ward and the sight in front of her was enough to boil her blood. Kabir was on top of Maya who was pushing him continuously. ‘Kabir!’, she shouted enraged making both of them startle. She went near him and pushed him from top of her on the floor. She bent down and held his collars. ‘Why the hell are you here? Did you forgot what I can do or do you want me to refresh your memory?’, she said shouting at him.

Kabir was scared of her because she had made some goons beat him up in the past. ‘Will you go or should I give you a dose ?’, she asked slapping him tight and he stood up showing her his finger. ‘Bohat parr nikal aye hain,’ he said and went. She turned to Maya who was staring at the ceiling with tears rolling down her cheeks. ‘Chhoti,’ she said and held her hand but she jerked it away thinking it’s him. ‘He went, don’t you know what I did with him last time? I hired goons to beat him up, if you say I will make him paralyzed,’ she said.

Maya didn’t reacted as she was in fear of him coming again. It was his daily routine to come and scare her like this. ‘Achha mere pas na tere liye surprise hai, lekin vo tujhay kal doongi, sahi?’, she asked and Maya nodded. All this was watched by Kabir. ‘Oh, she’ll make me paralyzed? Who does she think she is? I should’ve done the same to her without wasting time,’ he said and went to his house. As soon as he entered, he was greeted by a hug. ‘Home sweet home, where were you dear?’, asked the girl who hugged her.

He entered inside the hospital and went towards the reception asking of the patient Maya Mehrotra. As he got her ward number, he went to find the room. His eyes carried sadness, his lips had a frown, his eyebrows were creased though he was eager to see her. His hand carried an ice cream box. As he found the ward, he was about to knock but stopped. What if she gets scared of him too? This thought took no time to occupy his brain. He gathered courage and knocked on the door. ‘Just a m-minute,’ said a voice and the next second,she opened the door opened before him to let him in.

‘How’s you?’, he asked as she had her eyes lowered. ‘I am fine and you?’, she asked. ‘Fine and how’s she?’, he asked looking at Maya who was sleeping peacefully. ‘No progress is coming Arjun, even if it comes, that Kabir comes to scare her,’ she said with moist eyes. ‘Don’t worry, now she will be in my mother’s hospital now,’ he assured. ‘Wow, finally aunty became a doctor, congratulations,’ she said and smiled finally getting a hope. ‘Yes, and she treated many patients like her,’ he told her and she smiled looking at Maya.

‘Finally chhoti will become fine, no one will scare her, she will show progress. Thank you Arjun, thank you so much,’ she said and Maya moved in her sleep. She opened her eyes and Durga sat by her side. ‘Chhoti, I have good news for you, now Kabir won’t ever come here to scare you because I m finally shifting you from here today itself,’ she said and Maya smiled. ‘Thank you di, I love you,’ she said and Durga kissed her forehead. ‘Love you too, look who came to meet you,’ she said and Maya looked at Arjun.

‘Hi Maya, yaad hai? Main Arjun,’ he said and knelt down beside her bed. ‘Vo bandar?’, she asked and Durga giggled along with Arjun. ‘Han wohi, mujhe dekh kar khush nahi ho? Cheeto?’, Arjun asked and tickled her and she laughed. ‘Han Han main bohat khush hoon, bandar, thanks to these drips, if they weren’t here, I would’ve ran after you, shukar manao,’ she said smilingly. ‘Han I know you’re really fast, thats why I thought to have ice cream race,’ he said and stood up to bring ice cream in a bowl for both of them and Durga as well.

‘Let’s start,’ Arjun said and they all ate and while Durga was busy eating, Arjun extended his hand that had spoon of ice cream. They had a cute eyelock as she ate by his hand. A smile got plastered on her face automatically in his presence. She didn’t realize when she too did the same. He ate from her hand and they shared a smile and cute eyelock.

Durga lifted her face as she finished eating and saw Maya smiling cutely as Arjun fed her and she too fed him at the same time. She decided not to disturb them and stood up from the floor and sat on the small table in the room. She switched on the screen of the phone and took their photo to capture her smile and the beautiful moment as well.

She received a message, it was of Dev, her husband. ‘Hey wifey, what’s up?’, it said. ‘I m with Maya and she smiled for the first time in these two years ,’ she replied. ‘How?’, he asked. ‘I called Arjun to come and meet her and so she smiled in his presence,’ she replied and sent Arjun and Maya’s photo. ‘Happy couple, waiting for a moment like this to come between you and me as well,’ he replied to which she blushed. ‘Soon ,’ she replied and smiled to herself.

‘Durga di, you finished eating and didn’t even declare yourself as winner like you used to do in childhood, very bad,’ Maya said. ‘You were having such a good time, how could I disturb you?’, she replied teasingly. ‘Di sach to yeh k aapko jeeju se baat karni thi, he he,’ she said and giggled. ‘Or tujhe tere bandar se,’ she teased back. ‘Aray di, kya aap bhi? ‘Konsi pic?’, Durga asked. ‘Ice cream wali, I know you captured it, di please dikhao na,’ Maya said and she showed them. ‘Kaisi hai?’, she asked. ‘We still look the same as in childhood, haina bandar?’, Maya asked. ‘Haan, humne ek doosre ko waise greet hi nahi kiya, antar?’, Arjun said.’Mantar,’ Maya said. ‘Agaya bandar,’ Arjun and Maya said in unison and pressed each other’s nose lightly while tickling with the other hand and laughed. ‘I thought to bring a gift for you, I hope you like it,’ he said and handed her a shopper. She pulled out a box and opened it. It had a silver bracelet with the letters MDJ. ‘What does this stands for?’, Maya asked. ‘M for Maya, D for Durga and J for your mother, Janvi,’ he said and Maya smiled with tears in her eyes

Sanjana sat upset in her room and Kabir came there sitting beside her. ‘Sanju, it was important to do that to shut her mouth,’ he tried explaining and she glared at him. ‘Don’t you Sanju me, I won’t ever understand you and never support you in this, even I am a girl, same would’ve happened with me too, I can sense her pain at this moment, I m not so heartless like you,’ she said gritting her teeth. ‘Kitni bharkeeli ho tum, arey main ne ye sab tumharay liye kiya, taakey tumko khushi milay, taakey tumhe koi baansh na kahay damn it!’, he said almost shouting.

‘Ma,’ said a little girl’s voice. She looked at the door and there stood a little girl with fair skin, brown eyes and wavy hair. She smiled at her and called her for a hug opening her arms. The little girl came running to her and hugged her. ‘Kya hua meray chhotay bachay ko? Ice cream khayega mera bacha?’, she asked sweetly. ‘Ma, mujhe Maya aunty se milna hai,’ she said and Sanjana looked at Kabir. ‘Jab dekho bas Maya aunty, Maya aunty, she’s not related to us you fool, she was a mere stranger,’ he shouted angrily.

‘Kabir! Don’t you dare! Don’t you dare to shout at my daughter,’ she warned. ‘Our daughter,’ he corrected her. ‘No! Arya is only my daughter! Only mine!’, she said angrily. ‘Meray chhotay bachay ko Maya aunty se kiun milna hai?’, she asked Arya. ‘I miss her,’ she replied. ‘No beta, I can’t do that, I will take you to have ice cream, come baby,’ she said and put her down from her lap grabbing her hand and walked out of there glaring at Kabir. She made Arya sit on the passenger seat and sat on the driving seat and drove off.

She recalled Maya crying and stopped the car near an ice cream stall. She bought her a cone and handed it to her and watched her fondly as she ate. ‘Mumma, why you aren’t eating?’, she asked. ‘Beta, mumma is not in a mood, I will have only one bite from your ice cream, OK baby?’, Sanjana replied and as she nodded, she had a bite of it. She drove off and stopped outside the same hospital where Maya had been staying. ‘Mumma why you brought me here?’, Arya asked still having ice cream. ‘Let’s go inside, I will tell everything.’

She got out of the car along with Arya and grabbed her hand. ‘Come baby,’ she said and took her inside the hospital building. She felt her heart getting heavy by every passing second as she walked towards Maya’s ward. She stopped and sat on her knees in front of her. ‘Baby, Maya is here, you go alone to meet her, I will be outside, tell her that mumma is saying sorry,’ she told her and asked her to go inside. She went inside opening the door and all eyes were fixated on her as she stepped inside with a cute smile.

‘Arey look Maya, who came, you won’t believe your eyes,’ Arjun told her and she lifted her face from the bracelet and as she looked at Arya, her eyes pooled up with tears but her lips had a smile after seeing her daughter. She called her to hug her and she came running to her and Maya hugged her and kissed her forehead. ‘Beta who brought you here?’, she asked. ‘Mumma brought me, and she’s saying sorry, where did you go after my birthday? I was waiting for you,’ Arya asked hugging her feeling dearness not wanting to break the hug.

‘I was a guest over there, so I moved out of there as soon as I found a place to live,’ Maya lied and Durga changed the topic. ‘Looks like I m invisible,’ she said. ‘Even I,’ Arjun said and Arya broke the hug and came to him hugging him. He kissed her cheek. ‘Coochicoochikoo,’ Arya said pressing her cheeks. She giggled and went to Durga and hugged her. ‘Mera baby,’ she said and picked her kissing her cheek. ‘Bas bas, itna sweet mat ho, mujhe sugar hojaegi,’ Arya joked and they all laughed. ‘I will call mumma,’ she said getting down from Durga’s arms and ran out.

She came towards Maya and sat down on her knees, her eyes still lowered, she held her ears. Maya looked at Durga who was shocked on her act, Arjun too had the same reaction. ‘Sorry Maya, whatever happened to you is all because of me, I was your friend, but I couldn’t stop Kabir from doing all this, I should’ve stopped him, I shouldn’t have taken away your baby from you,’ she said.

‘Sanju, please don’t apologize, because of you only I could meet my daughter,’ Maya said making her stand. ‘No Maya, it wasn’t your fault if I was infertile, I should’ve given you your daughter, Arya, the one standing in front of you is your..,’ she was cut in between by Maya. ‘Sanjana no, what are you doing? She’s just a kid, if she will get to know it like this, she will have bad affect on her, don’t do this,’ she said. ‘Why? Why are you stopping her? Let her say, she don’t have any right on Arya,’ Durga said.

‘Didi, please, not right now, she shouldn’t know the truth like this, Sanjana, don’t, please just don’t do this,’ Maya said to Durga and Sanjana. ‘Maya aunty, what are you hiding? Please tell me, why are you in this hospital? What has happened to you? Tell na aunty,’ Arya said sweetly. Maya cupped her face and kissed her forehead and the back of her palms. ‘What can I hide from you? You’re my fairy, right?’, Maya said and hugged her. ‘Yes, but you’re also my second mother, right aunty? Then why you hide things from me?’, she asked and Maya smiled with tears in her eyes.

‘You trust me na?’, Maya asked making her sit in her lap and she nodded in assurance. ‘I will tell you on right time, OK baby,’ Maya said pressing her nose slowly. Sanjana received a phone call and drew her hand up looking at the screen which flashed Kabir’s name. ‘Speak of the devil. Maya, it’s Kabir’s call, I m outside for sometime,’ she said and went outside. She received the call and kept it on her ear. ‘Hallo,’ she said. ‘Where have you gone with Arya that it’s taking too long? Did you people go to have ice cream or for shopping? Or did you really went and made her meet Maya?’, he asked.

‘Calm down, chill OK, we are just roaming here and there, can’t you just go to office? Go get a life man, and yes, she’s your child but you don’t give a damn about her, what do you want?’, She replied mockingly. ‘She’s my real daughter, but not yours, don’t forget that you have her because of me, I know where you are, are you coming or should I come there to scare your mad friend wifey?’, he asked.

‘Yes am returning, but if you come here, then see what I will do with you,’ she said and disconnected the call. She sighed rolling her eyes turning back and pushed open the door of the ward and saw Arya sleeping in Maya’s lap peacefully. She smiled looking at her and went to them. ‘Maya, I will have to go and take her as well, I will come again to meet you some other day,’ she said. ‘Thank you so much Sanju,’ Maya said thankfully. ‘Its a pleasure, and yes, as I promised, I will give you your daughter back,’ she replied.

Maya smiled in return and she picked Arya. ‘Shift her as soon as possible, Kabir got to know I m here,’ she said and walked out of there. Durga came and hugged her as she went. ‘Chhoti, you OK?’, she asked. ‘I m OK, and I m happy that I will get my daughter back,’ she said. ‘Do you really think she’s going to do that? She’s Kabir’s wife, how can you trust her?’, she asked breaking the hug. ‘She’s my very old friend, when she promises, she fulfills it,’ Maya said assuring her with hope in her eyes.

‘OK, I too felt she’s truthful, Arjun, can you stay with her for sometime? Dev wanted to spend some time with me,’ she said. He nodded. ‘Ok I will make arrangements to shift her,’ she said and went outside. Maya bowed down her head looking at her phone and tears started flowing from her eyes. As he witnessed this, he came towards her and kept his hand over her hand. ‘What happened?’, he asked, his eyes full of worry, his voice had pain looking at her tears. She showed him the photo of a woman along with her by her side.

‘Mumma,’ was the only word she uttered while crying. He wiped her tears. ‘Maya, don’t cry like this, your mother will come to you for sure, I will bring her to you,’ he assured her. ‘But when?’, she asked. ‘Soon, on your birthday, and if you cry and I tell her you were crying, she’ll be sad, right? So stop crying and smile,’ he said and tickled her but this time it was of no use, the door opened and Durga came inside. ‘Didi, Arjun came but mumma didn’t came, why? I want mumma right now,’ she said.

He was about to say but Durga stopped him and came to her. ‘Mumma recorded a message for you, look at this,’ she said and showed her her phone. In the video, she said, ‘Maya baby, please be strong for mumma, I will come to you soon, and yeah don’t be sad, else I won’t be able to live, and remember mumma loves you.’ The video ended and Maya hugged her still in tears. She caressed her hair and combed her hair weaving it in a braid as Maya got relaxed whenever she did this. She hugged her again and she too had tears in her eyes.

After sometime she felt her weight fully on her and she made her lay. He stared at her angelic face. ‘Paperwork is done, time to shift her,’ she said. The wardboys came and they all moved the bed out towards the exit as the packing was already done. He lifted her in his arms and laid her on the backseat of the car. He was about to sit on the front seat but Durga stopped him. ‘I will drive the car,’ she said and sat on the front seat.

6 months had passesd, and I finally got my laksh..i was jealous of swara years back, and thus made her separate from laksh..bt now, he has forgiven me and loves me as I am..things have changed between the youngsters as well…prince and durga get along well…nairai s helping kartik to do something of his own…and even rohan and kanchi are good friends…the only problem persisting is that anahita aunty still didn’t accept me….

She still couldn’t believe it. Sanskaar, the man whom she had known since they were in diapers was now her husband. Her best friend, then her boy friend and the love of her life and now.. He was now her husband.
She removed the saree pallu from her forehead and went to the washroom and washed up. She shivered in anticipation at the thought of her wedding night. Though Sanskaar and she had kissed and done even more during their engagement, they had come to a uninanimous decision that their wedding night would be the day they became one.

She changed into a light red lingerie. That he had given her as a gift for their wedding night…

Swara (looking at herself in the mirror) : I hope Sanskaar likes this.

Swara watched him through the mirror as he walked inside the room and smiled. As usual, her heart jumped with joy looking at him. She didn’t know how Sanskaar had come to mean everything to her. They had been inseperable since their birth that she couldn’t imagine anyone else instead of Sanskaar. He was the one constant in her life.
He came and stood behind her and they looked at themselves in the mirror.
Sanskaar : Swara walia …

Swara (smiling and correcting him) : Not anymore. It’s Swara Sanskaar Raichand now.

Sanskaar : So it is. How did I become so lucky?
Swara turned and put her arms around him as well.

His lips traced the path to her ear lobes and he slowly nibbled on them and she shivered. Her whole body was tingling and she knew she was starting to get excited.
Sanskaar stopped at her shiver.

Were he not holding her tight, Swara would surely have melted by the immense heat. She wasn’t shocked at their kiss, but there was something different about it tonight. There was a laziness, a promise that more pleasure awaited her.

Sanskar felt like he had died and gone to heaven. While swara felt like she was melting in his arms. They kissed for what seemed like an eternity, but was only a few minutes. And when they came up for air, swasan stood there with their foreheads touching.
